Stadium construction to go through summer

UNC's renovations come at a cost of $19 million, and the Diamond Heels played in Cary at the USA Baseball Training Complex this season. At the midway point of renovations for Boshamer Stadium, things are starting to take shape.Passers-by can see the outlines of the new two-story concession stand and state-of-the art press and luxury boxes, which loom imposing over the still-unfinished field.The outfield is a muddy quagmire, soaked in the recent rains and littered with construction equipment.Originally, the stadium demolition was delayed until October 1 of last year, but that delay has not changed the predicted completion date."It's off the charts," Rams Club Major Gift Director Russell James told The Daily Tar Heel earlier in the year. "The main purpose of it is to get more people associated with Carolina baseball. The fan experience is going to be 100 times better."...
